If I were to tell you that Tiger Woods has re-proposed to his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, there is a very little chance that you would believe me. Then if I were to follow up on that last statement by saying she is actually considering it, you would most likely laugh at me.
Well, whether you believe it or not, both statements are true. Tiger re-proposed to her this past Christmas. It won't be that easy for Tiger though, because Elin had no intention of just saying yes right then and there. No she wanted more, much more, like $550 million more!! Tiger had the idea of a $200 million prenup, but the other $350 million is coming from an "anti-cheating" clause proposed by Elin. But because of all this money that is on the table, Elin is actually considering getting remarried.
I highly doubt that Tiger will even think about cheating on Elin now that there is $550 million on the line. But maybe Tiger is really a different person now. It is possible that Tiger has completely changed and isn't even worried about all that money because he knows that he has no intent on trying to cheat. Maybe he truly does love Elin and is willing to make sacrifices for her.
Many people probably think that this is just a stunt so that Tiger can make amends with the world, but would he really go that far so that'd he would have to suffer by being married again. I feel like this is what Tiger really wants. I think he realizes that what he had before was nearly the perfect life and that he would do absolutely anything to get that back.
Do you think that the world will embrace the new Tiger and think he is back to normal? Or are people going to think it is a stunt and see right through him?
Even though this is a large amount of money being put on the line by most people's standards, it’s not really for Tiger Woods. He was the highest paid athlete in the world for a while. With that being said I still believe Tiger actually does want to be remarried, not just to make amends with the world but because he actually cares about Elin. Hopefully he has learned his lesson and will not mess up like last time. I believe everyone deserves a second chance and this is Tiger's.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you here Will. I think that cheating was a one time mistake for Tiger that he will never do again and I think that he has made that clear to the world. With that being said, I think that Tiger's want to remarry Elin is genuine and truthful, otherwise I don't think that he would have put 550 million on the line. I hope Tiger has learned his lesson and will never travel down the dark road of cheating again and if he does, well then he is just stupid.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Will. After Tiger's incident, he was truly remorseful and wanted to make up for his ill-advised decisions. We saw his remorse when he apologized for his actions on national television. Therefore, it doesn't surprise me that Tiger wants to make amends with his wife. Hopefully Tiger can continue to grow to getting his life back on track.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with you Will, however I think this stunt is a combination of Tiger making amends with the world and with Elin. I mean why not? All he has on the line 550 million dollars for one of the highest paid athletes ever. He might be sincere but if he is not I would not be surprised, only time can tell.
